Covid-19 and Camp
Thanks to extensive planning and preparations of our staff and volunteers, and the partnership of all our families and staff, we had an incredibly successful summer in 2021 without a single detected case of COVID-19 – even on our pre-camp screenings.
We will remain vigilant and continue to follow best practices to provide a safe and joyous environment for your children in 2022. With full vaccination required for all campers and staff in Summer 2022, we are hopeful to be able to reinstate many of the programs that were restricted in Summer 2021.
Eden Village will require all campers and staff to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by the first day of camp in 2022. (This policy assumes the FDA will grant emergency authorization for all children 5 and over).
If there is a medical reason a camper is ineligible to receive a vaccine, their physician can submit a letter to Eden Village that will be reviewed by an outside medical advisor. The outside medical advisor will determine whether the medical exemption is valid and appropriate for the camp setting. The child will not be able to enroll until and unless an exemption has been granted or the family indicates that their child will comply with the vaccination policy.
No other exemptions will be considered.
The safety of your children is our most important priority. We will continue to work with our medical advisory board and public health experts to make a plan for camp that is prudent, positive and without unnecessary risks. We value and love your children as our own. While there are still many details we are working out for the summer, we will keep you informed every step of the way. At this time, we are hopeful that many of precautions of past years will not be necessary when all campers and staff are fully vaccinated in 2024.
We are offering a full refund of all paid fees, including the enrollment deposit, up until April 1st, 2022.
Enrollment for returning families opens at noon on Monday, October 25, 2021. One week later, at noon on November 2nd, 2021 enrollment opens for new families. Don’t wait to sign up – many of our age groups had waitlists in 2021 and anticipate our sessions will fill up quickly this year.
